On January 1st, 2010, the new FINA suit rule will take effect. High schools and the NCAA are on board for banning the suits immediately – before the season gets underway. The end of bodysuits is upon us!
However, because of the late notice, some people are left holding speedsuits without a place to use them. To help those swimmers, I’ve compiled 7 perfectly good ways to use your old, illegal speedsuit:
1. Fight Crime
2. Go Tanning
3. Sandbag Your Flooded Doorstep (Non-Permeable Suits Only)
4. Join Cirque du Soleil
5. Flesh Colored Paint – Just Keep Wearing It!
6. New Winter Olympic Sport: Sled-less Ice Luge
7. Break A Slip n’ Slide Speed Record
…I guess if all else fails, you’ll have the most expensive Michael Phelps halloween costume this year!

Funny, it would have been nice if USA Swimming had said back in Rome that they were going to change the ruling and go against the Jan 1, 2010.. USA Swimming screwed a lot of people by not being honest. Five rules changes 80 days and now their talking about another change. Screw'um!
And Number Eight: Wait around and hope that FINA reverses these crazy rules.. and keep your fingers crossed that you don't outgrow the dang thing before then!!
Number Nine: Become a triathlete. The speedsuits are still legal for USA Triathlon, World Triathlon Association, and International Triathlon Union events.
slip n slide? what about a water slide record?! My God….you could go all over the country hosting competitions at different water parks!
