Don’t ask me how, but I actually heard about this on Ball Hype, a website about “real” sports, first. That site linked back to a story on Sports by Brooks about Michael Phelps’ new book… about dinosaurs.
Specifically, the book is called How to Train with a T. Rex and Win 8 Gold Medals. From the amount of criticism Sports by Brooks gave, it sounds like the book is less of a playful How-To guide to get kids thinking about physical activity, and more of a publicity stunt to please parents still concerned with his bong photo.

Well you know what? I think it’s pretty cool. I think the illustration of the T. Rex lifting weights with his tiny arms is hilarious, I think there are a lot of kids joining swim teams at an extremely young age, and I think Michael Phelps is an American Hero.
