Craig Lord at SwimNews.com has created a medal table for the 2009 FINA World Championship “Suit Wars.” It looks like the most gold medals were won in the Arena X-Glide (14) compared to 9 golds in the Jaked 01. However, the Jaked 01 was used in the most overall medal swims, with 37 total medals vs. 36 medals won in the X-Glide.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that the suits themselves won the medals. But this table does show which suits were chosen by the top athletes who made it to the podium.

I found Jaked suits in black, gold, red, ornage, and pink on a Google image search. Taste the rainbow!

I’ll be working the Kast-A-Way Swimwear retail booth at swim meets this weekend, and just today I had at least 10 people ask me about the Jaked 01 championship suit by Jaked.

First of all, I’m assuming the correct pronunciation of Jaked rhymes with naked, because that’s the way Gold Medal Mel says it. I’ve heard everything from “Jake” to “Jaykit” this weekend.

I also found these photos on DayLife.com and I thought I’d share them because I hadn’t seen them flying around the blogsphere as often as they probably should given the recent popularity.
