On January 31st, Competitor Magazine will host the 17th Annual Competitor Endurance Sports Awards at Sea World in San Diego. The gala event, with an individual ticket price of $150, will include awards for male and female triathletes of the year.

Tickets for ESA XVII are $150 per person or $1200 per table.

Triathlete Magazine recently selected their honorees for top performers in 2008, to be presented in their February issue. Chrissie Wellington was recognized as Overall Female Triathlete of the Year and for the Performance of the Year. Wellington went undefeated in 6 races this year, and defended her Kona Ironman World Championship title.
